you're a retard... only 16 year old fast and furrriousss fans make outragous claims like that. Good luck on making a sub 10 second NA car, you'll need it. meanwhile when ever you do build this 10 second car, PM me ill drive out the where ever it is you are and beat you, cheating

Can somebody give a little schooling on what a progressive nitrous set up is?
I don't know a whole lot about nitrous, but for what I hear, a progressive nitrous set up, is one of the safest way of running it.
Anybody cares to explain a little?

"nitrous is cheating" he's just crying cause all he will see of our "cheating cars" is out tail lights.. I can't think of but maybe 3 cars of my friends that street race and track race that dont have some kind of power adder.. and most of them are spray cars. The only people who cry cheating is the slow people. Would you like to borrow my bottle cry baby??

Progressive kits are nice, but they are somewhat pricey and a little tricky to install. Basically, it adjusts the amount of nitrous depending on your position in the rpm band.

For example. Say you want a 150hp shot overall. You might set it to give you about 50hp at 3000rpms, 100hp at 4000rpms, and 150hp at 5000rpms. This is safer because it puts less strain on the internals at the lower rpms. Instead of throwing in all 150hp at 3000rpms. This can also help if you are having traction problems.

They usually work by pulsating the nitrous solenoid. You would have the 150hp jet in, and the pulsating would lessen the amount of nitrous at the lower rpms. As the rpms increased, the pulse duration would be shorter, causing more and more nitrous to go in, and at some point, it would hold the solenoid wide open...

Hope this answers you question...

For $600 anybody can spray, so what's the point of calling someone 'slow'? It's his choice not to jump on the bandwagon and spray the hell out of his car...more power to him! My fiances brother just lost 2 good friends because their bottle stayed open and continued to spray and sent them right into a median. If you live in the Denton/Lewisville area I'm sure you heard about this...

Keep the spray for the strip. It's quite idiodic to have **** wars on the road and put yourself and others in danger...in the long run it's really not worth it...

that sucks man, but it was thier choice spray in an uncontrolled environment. personally I would ahve shut the car down, or put the bitch in neutral you can always fix a motor.... sorry to hear about the loss, but still doesn't make nitrous "wrong"

Not to make light of that. Sorry about your losses.

But what makes them think the nitrous kept spraying. First of all, the bottle is ALWAYS open, it is the solenoid that would stick if anything, and if they had a kit and that happened, the engine would go boom, NOT keep running stronger. When they let off the gas pedal, there would be less fuel, creating a super lean condition, that would go boom or at the very least, run like ****. What you said happened doesn't make sense. Perhaps he kept on the gas, not the nitrous, and that is what put them into the median...

Envy, definatly NOT!!!! Loss of respect due to lack of appreciation!
Its funny when a person puts a 100 shot of spray and runs a 13.01 when its suppose to take a full second of your time. I have dropped a whole second with the mods listed in the signature. I went from a 14.6 to a 13.51. That is by doing everything right! Appreciating any mod that will help no matter how small. In the spring I will be at a 12.7 without a cam, headers, N20!! How you might ask, if you don't know the direction you will never find the way!!!! You keep your spray and I will keep my engine N/A. We will see who stays on top at the end. Just ask your self this when you are racing, " How slow would I be without Spray?" Hey I can even answer that for you, VERY slow.

The thing you don't understand is that many of us have already done all the crap you are talking about. My car is probably already into the high 12/low 13 range, and with nitrous into the low 12's. Also, I have a 3000 stall converter, 4.10 gear kit, performance girdle and stud kit, and a transgo shift kit waiting to be installed. By this spring, I'll be at mid 12's n/a and mid/high 11's with nitrous. Now you bow down...

How are you going to explain it when someone with nitrous takes the bottle out of their car in front of you and still smokes your ***.

By your current times and the saying 'run what ya brung,' I do believe you'd be bowing to most of us on the board...Mr. Ill Be Ready By Spring bench racer

Funny. My car hibernates in the winter, so it would be coming out till spring. I'm not just makin **** up. This stuff has all been ordered and some of it is here. Look at juniors 409 stroker. I'm sure he has even looked at prices on that stuff, yet he's talkin 10's. Get real. BTW, I have actually taken my bottle out for races. In fact, I've never had to use it in a race... And judging by your opinion on nitrous, I'd say you've never even been in a car with it, so WTF do you know about it??? Nothing...

Talk about a bench racer. Sure, once you get your $5,000 you come back and talk ****. You still have an LT1 just to let ya know, and your are running 13.5ish. That's a long way from 10s. Once you get fast, then call people slow. Don't do it while your still browsing the jegs catalog...

You people are hilarious. I wouldn't expect any less from people who have watched a bit too much F&TF. Wait until you lose someone close to using the idiodic giggle gas...

FYI I have been in a car that ran a 150 shot...yea its cool and get you up there quick, but I can see how it can be dangerous on the streets. Probably not the smartest 'mod' for those of you who fly off at people on the internet about "what I'm getting by Spring" You're the idiots that kill people every day by flexing your small rocks!

I guess I'm a "double cheater" since I use both a blower and N2O. Oh, the shame of it all
