Took my trans am out for a spin today and when I accelerated hard it would bounce off the rev limiter a few times before shifting (A4) never did this before any clue why it started?

 

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but start saving for a rebuild. I had to have mine done because of the same symptoms. My 2-3 shift was terriable. It would bounce of the rev limiter about 5 times before actually shifting.

The bright side is, you will love taking your car to wot and hearing it shift perfectly. It's worth it in the long run.

how long have you had your car for? Does it have a stock rearend? (different gears) .

Has it always done this?

 

had it five days started yesterday for the first time under heavy acceleration other then that it was shifting fine, not even sure if it did it every time. rear is totaly stock with 2.73 started the day after an intake install and having a cutout put in.

 

did you buy it from a dealer, or private seller? any kind of extended warranty on it? looks like you'll need a rebuild, and that could be a $1000+ job for a good one.

 

privite seller no warranty....looks like ill b takeing a trip to deltrans...
