A friend and I want to build something like this just for the hell of it but we cant figure out exactly whats going on. Its obvious that the back axle of that car has been replaced with a different axle (maybe the front axle off of a 4 wheel drive vehicle?) Also, the drive train would have to be way different because its obvious they arent just driving in reverse. theyre going to fast to be in reverse. if you have any guesses as to how they did that I am all ears. by the way, i know this isnt lt1 related but this seemed like the most appropriate section otherwise. thanks.

See if you can check out info on the steering system of monster trucks. They have 4 wheel steering and can drive like that. You might have better luck finding info. I'm not really sure how they did that unless they turned the body around on the frame so they were actually driving the "frame" forward and just the "body" backwards. You can hear the guy shifting the gears so it definately wasn't just reverse.
