LT Header Question

What kind of gains can I expect when I install the Jet Hot long tube headers and Hooker Y-pipe that I just ordered? You can see the rest of my setup in my signature. Thanks.

i have borla exhaust and i just recently put on a pair of hooker long tubes. the sound it makes now doesn't have the same borla rasp at higher end speeds i dont think, but i can tell the difference in power instantaneouisly, i got up into high 3rd and it just kept screaming, i havne't gotten into 4th since the install, it scares me. it sounds fantastic i think, of course, the cops dont think so, i got a ticket for loud exhaust yesterday.

b t w where do you get a cutout for your borla?

Makes it easier to not having to crawl under the car to change out the Borla plates. I have considered getting one.

onefastz28: You can get one from the site sponser.

I will have to disagree with the 20-25 horse. I would say more like 35-40. When I went from stock manifolds to long tubes I instantly gained .4 tenths and 5 mph

Cool! Anybody for 50-55?!?

I love my electric cut out. Being able to adjust the exhaust on the fly is awesome, especially when a cop pulls in behind you to see if you are the loud car he heard coming down the road. By the time he has had time to see if it was me, I have already flipped open the ash tray lid, held the hidden center-off LED toggle switch for a few seconds, and channeled all the exhaust through the muffler.

I went from stock manifolds to FLP LTs and gained .8 tenths in the 1/8th! But then again, I'm sure the new plugs and wires help.

That and of course you'll see more gains in the 1/8's cause you're staying in lower RPM's...

I do love my LT's though...
