Highest RPM on an OPTI

Who's spun their LT1/LT4 the highest on an OPTI
Here's 6972 on an OEM OPTI..

Whos had their OPTI higher....and had the OPTI survive....mines been to 7005 (fuel cut off) at times but I don't have that logged.

Just a little 355...pulling D right before shifting into OD.......

7000 just a couple times but 6700 a few times a week. I've only had my opti's go out because of leaking water pumps... never from RPMs.

I've had mine as high as the PCM will let it. It's a OEM unit I got from Dal at VanDevere's before he left. Holding strong.

Way back when I had my LT1 , it was ran to 7000 routinely . I was one of the lucky ones to not have opti problems at all . This was back when the OEM opti was only thing u could get .

From what ive read most people have troubles with the stock pcm revving much past 7k. My TA saw 7k a few times on the stock 110k opti and 6800 regularlly. The only reason it ever saw 7 was because the tranny decided it didn't like shifting into 3rd anymore as it was also the stock 110k 4l60e.
