Okay for arguments sake, My oil pump pick up is roughly .375 off the bottom of the pan so in order to suck it dry I would have to have roughly 5 quarts of oil up top in the rocker and lifter valley. My pump also maxes out at 60 psi at 2400 rpms so the higher I rev won't change my oil pressure .I just don't see a hv pump pumping that much oil up top and overwhelming the drains back down. There has to be some other reason for losing oil pressure as stated before like no windage tray or your oil pump pick-up set to close to the bottom of the pan or to far away.
