high temp at idle

ive searched but haven't really found an answer im looking for, if i am sitting at idle for a little bit my temp gradually rises up to just before the redline, i know this isn't normal. i just had a new waterpump put on with the opti about a week ago along with a 160 stat. bleed the system and everytime i check the coolant level its fine. i can hear it bubbling and such inside the radiator after i shut the motor off while its hot. runs at about 170ish on the highway or from about 40mph and above does anybody have any ideas?

What ratio of coolant do you have? How old is the radiator pressure cap (they've been known to go bad).

fans come on at proper temp, both radiator cap and reservoir are fine, and coolant/water mixture is perfect. level is good too and have bleed it

I thought the PCM had to be adjusted for the fans to come on earlier with the 160 stat? Anyways, Run a manual fan switch - you'll be alot happier.
