Well i was leaving the college and one of my buddies wanted to race me on his bike ( somethin small ) so we line up and do about a 30 roll...first gear i get up to about 6K and it felt like the engine just missed a beat and again in second, didnt seem like a backfire, almost like a pause for a sec...could it be rev limiter? also what is the stock rev limiter for my car? valvetrain maybe? fuel pump?

Did it drop rpm or just stumble a little and after the stumble did it keep going into the rpm range... I'm pretty sure the stock rev limiter is set around 5900-6000 so it could definately be that you hit the limiter.

 

When were the plug wires changed last? I had a similar problem, and it turned out that the coil wire was toast.
