I've got a '94 LT1 ,stock with factory harness. It misses around 5000 and up. New Opti., plugs, wires,oxygen sensors, Fuel pressure is 48. It shows code 16(low res) Could this cause my miss?

 

Clear the code and see if it returns.

 

I've tried that. Same code. Tried diff computer and wire from opti to harness. Same miss but didn't have access to scanner to check code. Local dealership says possible bad opti . It acts like its running out of fuel at high RPM. Normal diving is OK. I don't want to change opti again if I have fuel problem or chase fuel problem if its ignition!

 

If the low res code continues to return wouldn't that narrow it down to just ignition? I'm only thinking but could the ignition module or coil cause the error code or would that only be isolated to the signal from the ecu... In other words it would be great if you could borrow a PCM.
