I looked around and Powermasters 200 amp was $306.69 natural finish, $359.95 for black finish and if you wanted to take it up the brown eye you could get chrome for $ 419.95
I would be interested in seing your terminal pics, I'll PM you as well.
I'll take some pics of the alternator when it arrives and post the scoop

When are we installing your SLPs and AFRs?

Re: High output alternator for LT-1
I need to at least get those headers in. I keep putting off my plug wires until the headers go in, and I know they are going south. I wanted to wait to do the headers until I put the heads in, but I'm starting to feel that the wait isn't worth the time saved.
I may decide to wait on installing the heads and intake until I have a new short block. The car is my daily driver, and I know that if some dirt gets in there with a cam install, I'll have a spun bearing in no time (especially with the stock bearings). Unfortunately, I don't have an extra car to drive while it's down. Maybe I should just throw the heads and intake on with no cam? I'll have to start a new thread about that. Hey, at least my torque converter will be in today.
Oh yeah, back to topic...those alternators look nice. I noticed MSD has some new units available. I wonder if those are compatible.

Re: High output alternator for LT-1
That would work fine for you. 1 guage here with the "BIG3" upgrade. No dimming, and I was pulling well over 150 amps with my stereo at one point, no trouble at all. Downgraded though
Re: High output alternator for LT-1
The Big 3 Are:
1. negative battery wire to ground - just replace the negative batt. terminal and wire and ground it to the factory location
2. engine block to ground - replace the ground wire from the engine block to the chasis with a bigger wire (maybe 4 guage)
3. alternator to batt - add a fused wire from the postive post on you alternator (the one comming from the battery) to the postive terminal on your battery. Make sure it fused the same size as your factory fuse.
4 Guage would be good, but 1 would be better
hope thats helps
