High mileage LT1 setups...

Wondering.......

Is there anyone who has a high mileage LT1 with say bolt-ons, head, cam setup or anything? Just curious to see How many there are out there, and what kind of power, and times are being put down,....

If anyone replys, how many miles Do you currently have?

I dunno what you consider high mileage, and I don't have any #'s, but my 93 Z with heads/cam/etc./etc. scoots and it's got 137k miles...

Well, last I ran it it was mid-13's@106 on street tires (2.3 60'), @ around 100K w/ some bolt-ons, but since then, I've ported the intake and upgraded the heads, cam, throttle body, ECM chip, swapped in 4.10s, converted it from A4 to M6, installed bigger injectors and AFPR, and added a crapload of suspension upgrades. My guess is low 12's on slicks, mid-12's on streets. I really have no plans of running it until I buy a Strange 12-bolt...

My car went 13.4 @ 106 with a 2.2 60' with minor bolt ons with 156k miles. Never had it dynoed. I would guess it had maybe 275rwhp and 300rwtq.

Re: High mileage LT1 setups...

I currently have 156k on my 94 with a stock LT1 and lots of bolt ons and suspension.
It runs 13.4s at 104 consistently with 1.9 sixty foots, I run on 275 Nitto drag radials.
Its got more ET in it but I basically baby it off the line. I haven,t even really heated up the Nittos cause I am a wuss.

I'm mid way through an LE2 with 110k on it, I'll let you know what kind of numbers I put down. With only full exhaust/intake, they clocked my going 92 mph in the 1/8 , but that was with a 2.8 60' and I think it screwed up. I was ~84 the rest of the night.

My 97 has 100k miles with bolt ons and 224/230 cam it dyno'd 341/355 on stock heads. Not to bad. Im thinking about selling it and getting a LS1 though.

Re: High mileage LT1 setups...

~140k(speedo is off) on my 93 T/A. It's got the LT4 cam kit, LT's, CSR waterpump, mufflex 4" exhaust, CAI, 58 mm TB, 3-angle valve job, 125 wet shot. 326/346 on motor and 442/500 on the bottle. It's in HORRIBLE need of a tune, though.
