High Milage Perkness
High Milage Perkness
alright guys, i am new to this forum and am tryin to get a camaro or even a trans am. i was finding these cars but they have high milage so i was wondering, are their perkiness in the driving good? like would they have loss power/ torque? if so, would a simple engine rebuild give it that punch? thanx guys, soon to be camaro driver. btw if this makes a difference the cars are v-8 with 120k miles
With my current mods I recently put down 330hp/348tq on the dyno with 138k miles. Had the heads off at 130k miles and the cylinders still had the cross-hatch pattern on the cylinder walls.
So I wouldn't be too concerned with mileage

welcome n00bie
there are tons of cars on this website with 100,000+ miles running VERY strong still
like any car routine maintenance is key
i suggest using the search button at the top also you will find quite a few threads reguarding mileage and durability of LT1 motors as well as the common symptoms these cars have
good luck man, they are pretty stout motors
