hick-up at high r's

when I was at the track friday night, on my fourth run, (amazing night, 8 runs in less than 90 mins, some people almost got 20 runs in, at OSW), when third gear was winding out, I noticed a hick-up in it, just one, at about 5ish grand, then next run didn't do it, but did then next two, decided to park it for the night and be nice to it. I'm thinking it's time to put the new cap and rotor I have on the opti, now it was also warm and very humid, also ran good up to 5700, no breaking up or anything, just that one hick-up, what do you guys think?

Very hard to say. I could be so many things but i know when the opti goes it starts out small and gets bigger. Unless you have the MSD and it might blowup on one run.

I'm still not so sure that it's the opti because from the things I've read it's not usually one hick-up, it's a constant breaking up missing type thing that starts soft and high rpm, then gets worst and works down the rpm. I think mine was from the high humidity and also only had about 5 gallons left in the tank. hmmmm, guess I need to take it out now that it's kinda drier and a full tank to eliminate those possibilities.
