Finally fired up the camaro

Turned the key on and off a few times to let the pump prime. Sat there, took a deep breath and turned the key. Fired right up! Shut it off after a few seconds, I just got sick of waiting I just had to test start it

I've been working on this thing since september, finally on the home stretch. Last few things to do are hook up the trans cooler lines, heater core, wire up the ewp, fab up some new brake lines, and lastly install the interior.

Engine/Trans is from a 95 LT1 with mods in sig, all put into a 94 v6 shell.

i know how you feel. My heart was pounding in the minutes before i started up my car after replacing the oil pan and gasket, and installing LT's and an o/r y. I don't even want to think about how i will act when i do a cam!

60 PSI at about 2500. I'm dying to here it idle so I can listen to it lope. But for right now I still want to take care of some other things first and obviously on a brand new engine the last thing I want is to sit there and let it idle. Oddly my cooling fans are not coming on right now. I have continuity to ground but no power to them. So I still haven't had a shot to break in the cam (30 min keeping rpms between 2k-2500) I started completely from scratch so I'm still crawling through some of the electrical gremlins.

All in all I hope it to be road worthy in a couple of weeks. All you guys on the board have been a tremendous help!

Just figured I'd go by what Comp recommended. Better safe than sorry. But anywho, can't wait to break in the rings and take it to the track!
