Hey Guys Need Some Advice to do next!

Alright guys im at a point were I dont no what to do next with my car. Heres a list of what i've done so far..

Stock Bottom End LT1 small block
Supercharged - 4.5 psi
Nitrous- 150 shot
Wheels and Tires- C6 ZO6 with 295's in the back
Sub Frame Connectors
Front and Rear Sway Bars
Spec Stage 3 Clutch
Mid Length Headers with full magnaflow exhaust

that is pretty much the full list of mods. I do have a set of partially ported aluminum heads that I plan on trying to port a little more in a few days. I dont no what I should do next. I want to do a cam swap but I feel there are some more supporting mods that would help kick my mods i already have into gear. I've heard of bigger injectors, bigger throttle body, better spark plugs, ect.

If anyone could give me a little advice so I can get in the right direction that would be great. I dont like autocross racing I like more of the 1/4 mile racing if that helps any. Also this is my daily driver and I do not mind what most people nag about (had a 97 trans am CC306 cam and loved it as my DD)

Valvesprings would certainly help. The stock cam is too much for them at this age and the boost just makes it worse.

Self done heads might be a slight upgrade but would screwup the possibility of having them properly ported later. Since they are already cut up though might as well fininsh the job and try it.

If set for 4.5psi can I guess it is a pretty small blower???

If so probably better off selling it and putting the money towards a great heads and cam setup from Advanced Induction. That and your nitrous should get you well below the ET where you will get booted for no rollbar.

Have you scanned your PCM for injector duty cycle? I assume we're both doing the same thing to get 4.5# of boost and I was >100% stock injector capacity above 5000 rpm and you're adding nitrous too. You must be going dangerously lean on the top end.

Did you already have the cam??
Was the tune actually good?

Depending how he has the nitrous system tuned it could enrich things enough to offset slightly undersized injectors up top

Well what I plan on doing is sending my heads to Jason on LS1tech and he said he could finish porting and match the heads to the stock intake he is also porting for me. I figured I'd be good after that.

Yeah its a pretty ****ty blower in most people eyes (powerdyne) there customer support is non-existent so i cant get much help there. I was gonna sorta rebuild the heads before I put them on like get some new roller rockers, springs, and plugs but I dont no what to get. I guess it all depends on the cam I want to get later on. I had a CC306 in my last trans am but I found out its not the best usable power since my bottom end is stock and i REALLY dont want to risk blowing it up.

4.5# of boost + 150-shot of nitrous (wet or dry?) is already pushing the limits on a stock bottom end. Put some money into the rotating assembly.

You also might want to add a "signature" with all the info about your car.

I'd guess valve springs, injectors, tunercat/lt1 edit with a obd1 pcm. No matter what you do you'll need those so might as well do it first.

I don't see gears on that list, or springs/struts which are the single most influential suspension mod you can do.

Id look into an S60 or 9" with some gears for your car since you're definitely going to snap your 10 bolt with that power.

Strano/Koni suspension setup if you want it to drive nice on the street, or a QA1 drag suspension if you want all out strait line performance.

Personally I think you have plenty of power at this point and need to bring the rest of the car up to speed

Well I have the NOS toned down to only 50 shot and ive never hit the system yet. I do want to upgrade the suspension. Want the car to sit a little lower. Yeah i think ill just get a few supporting mods for the upgrades i've done so far and see where that gets me. thanks jperran for the thoughts
