help! window fell off track

my window has been a lil rattlely (sp) for the last couple years but nothing big. so today i take it out for a drive, and as im putting the window up it stops halfway, so i grabbed it with my hand and eased it back into place. Does any one have a write up on how to fix this? do i need a whole new window? can i just fix it myself? thanks

Very easy (and common) problem to work on. Just remove the inside door panel and see what the problem is.

The window motors are the most common problem. I changed one because it started to make a lot of noise. Removing the panel is very easy too. Just remove the power window/lock switch assembly and the screw behind the handle (I'm half asleep now, so I might be missing a step here). The rest pulls off.

My passenger window is starting to rattle more than I like, so I'm going to take that one apart and have a look-see.

Im having the same problem. Ive had the panel off and saw that the metal bracket that is attached to the glass has broken off of its track. It appears that this piece is riveted to the glass. If anyone has a procedure on how to fix this, it would be a big help. Also, does anyone know the part # for this bracket?

I have the same trouble on the drivers side.
There is a bracketing on the window, which connects to the tracking part of the window via a small rotating joint. This joint pulled out of the pressed fitting. I figured buying a used window would be easiest. I'm off ot the yards near me to find one today!
