We laid this rumor to rest back in high school shop.

Gas wont dissolve sugar as said before. Plus sugar will settle on the bottom, and would somehow have to first get past the sock on the fuel pump, and the sock would also have to be resting in the bottom of the tank in the sugar for it to even try to pick it up.
Then it would have to make it past the fuel filter.
If it did make it past,it wouldnt "carmelize" as some have been led to believe.

The miss was most likely a clogged fuel pump or fuel filter, which would cause it to starve under hard use. I hope it's nothing more serious.

What about dumping some corn syrup into tank?

Its probably denser than gas, but it would eventually get sucked up...

Are you looking for advice on how to vadalize a car? Maybe you should go to another board where people like you are wanted - if you can find one.

change the fuel filter and run the pump then change the filter again

or you can drain the tank let it dry then wash it out with water " yes water will deslove suger" then let dry again and re install and make sure you change the filter

the above is how it is done at a dealership also pulling the pump and making sure the sock is clean is a good idea too

Sorry bout that but there is nothing that makes me madder than someone screwin with a mans ride!

If you find out the engine is bad, you can go to your car insurance if you have full coverage and get your engine replaced.

I suppose I phrased that incorrectly... Think of it as a "what if" ..
