help with SES...I'm goin nuts!

It's a P1441.....evap system flow during non-purge. This code is absolutely driving me insane. I have put in a new solenoid and switch up by the intake manifold and also a new charcoal canister. The damn code still pops up. I have just taken out the charcoal canister for the hell of it to see what happens (i know i will have some vapor coming out of there). The code still pops up....The hoses aren't even hooked up, how the heck can there be flow!! Help me out if ya can.

The only way you can get flow during non-purge would be the solenoid stuck open (you appear to have addressed that), or a leak in the vacuum lines from the solenoid to sensor, to the throttle body. Its not going to happen because of anything from the canister to the solenoid.

Might also check the sensor. Some people have had a lot of difficulty getting rid of this code.....

thanks for the replies guys. csabatka1, I have tried resetting the computer....also, I always clear the code with my scanner.

Injuneer, where exactly is this sensor that signals the SES code for this? All of the hoses are good from the solenoid to the switch and into the throttle body.
