Hello all! I just recently put a new clutch in my 94' Z. And I'm having problems going into reverse. It just grinds when I try to put it in. So I've just been starting the car in reverse when I need to back up.. It's a pain when trying to back into a parking spot. I have to stop, turn off the car, put it in reverse, then start it back up again. Bah. Also it has some, some issues going into gears. I was told that I could be a clutch problem.. (it only having 300 miles on it and it needs to break in) But I'm just wondering if anyone had any thoughts? Thanks..

Is it hard to get over into reverse? If so could be the reverse lockout solenoid that is unplugged or broken.


Need more details.

If it is grinding in reverse and hard to get in all gears something sounds misadjusted.

 

No, I can easily put it in the reverse "area" but when I try and put it in the actual gear it just grinds... And in other gears, it just is a little hard to push into. It goes.. Just not with ease...

Sounds like maybe some air in your hydraulics, not letting the clutch out all the way thus you hear the grinding.
