help please help, asap!!!!

here is the deal. im trying to put an ati dampener on my 383. i have a cloyes true double roller timing chain. its a 96 so it had a crank reluctor ring, and it has been removed. do i still need to use the spacer or does the new crank sproket make up the diffrence?

You'd be better off using the earlier style crank hub, thats what I ended up doing when I ran into the same sitution.

If you need one, I have an extra by the way...

i have allready installed the gear and the timing cover. i just learned about the spacer needing to be there. i made a spacer out of my reluctor ring, i just need to know if i really need it or not. the minute that i get confirmation of wether i need to spacer or not, the balancer is going right on the engine.

If thats the case, then yes you'll need the spacer that you made.
