Now I noticed on monday that the car just died on me when i was making a right hand turn but i looked at my gas needle and it was on E, wasnt paying attn. the car started back up fine and i made it to the gas station. Today i noticed that when i would give enough gas it woould start tryin to cut out on me. I went out there and tried to keep starting and there is a small amount of smoke coming from my exhaust! Help me! i need to go to work AHHHHHH! ideas suggestions are so much appreciated thanks alot Cory

Basic stuff like check spark and fuel pressure, check for trouble codes. Could be the opti.

Re: Help please car died tonight wont start!

I dont have any tools to check for that kinda stuff. Im thinkin the opti probably. but i went back out and kept tryin and tryin to start and it finally kicked over. I took it for a drive and it ran just fine no probs, shut it off then started it again and started fine, shut it off again and started again did not start i could feel it trying to start though. BTW where can i get a decent priced opti from? any more suggestion would be great thanks guys

If you don't have the tools to check stuff, I sure would not start throwing parts at it. It could get very expensive. You could be way off and be replacing stuff that is not broken. You need someone with the tools to help you diagnose it or just take it to a shop.

Re: Help please car died tonight wont start!

Heres a list of most of the possible problems and if u started throwing parts at it you'd be throwing away alot of money.
Bad coil, bad coil wire, Bad ICM (doubtful), clogged cat, clogged fuel filter, dying fuel pump, opti eletrical harness damaged, harness or opti corossion, bad Opti, water in teh opti, vacuum line restrictor for the opti allowing full vacuum pressure, injectors not recieving signal to fire (doubtful), all spark plugs fouled (doubtful)

http://www.vandevere.com/ Dal has the cheapest optis.. 10 bucks cheaper than Jason Cromer.. Jason has some items that are cheaper than Dal.. I always check both. Nobody has lower prices then them.
