i noticed my car (94 z28 auto) has been shifting weird for the past 2 weeks. first the problem started wen the car would launch from second from stops nd the tranny wouldnt shift past thrid gear. now last night, the service engine soon light came on and the car would get stuck in first gear and once rpms got high enough it would start doing the launch ffrom second. also at the same time my speedometer stopped working. it seems like its something electricl to me but im not sure...anyone have ANY ideas of wat the problem is?

Scan it.... might provide a clue.

You'll probably find some transmission trouble codes with a scan. The car is trying to tell you something, if you will listen.

A faulty VSS may also be contributing.
