Angry Help needed: fuel pump wiring

I have began to install a 255 walboro fuel pump in my 93 z28. Going in via access door. The walboro kit comes with a new wiring harness, as it replaces the stock one. Am i supposed to take the black ground wire coming off the float and splice it with the new fatter guage black wire that comes with the walboro, then plug the red and black wires into platic electrical fitting at the top plate? It uses a fat red wire to power the pump, so i imagine i should just cut out the stock grey one? I have some digital photos i can email you so you can see what im talking about, but i do not know how to post pics on this site...Thanks in advance.

Re: Help needed: fuel pump wiring

yea man...this was the instructions i used for the install. the wiring part was a little vague... i bought a walboro 255, and that guy uses a racetronix...the ground wire on his setup has to wires. one going to the wiring harness on the top plate, one goes to a ground by the pump float. I dont know what do do with the old ground wires, but im sure i have to splice them together...please help

Wish I could help more as the Racetronix kit didn't even come with instructions and I also have the upgraded harness that powers the fuel pump!

Re: Help needed: fuel pump wiring

i got it done...ended up splicing the two grounds together and running them both into the wire harness.. wasnt too bad, considering that the pump and float can use the same ground..Thanks anyways guys!
