hey guys had to get my car towed home today. i was giving it gas and she didntt wanna go anywhere and the problem got progresssively worse she seemed like she just wanted to die even tho its at like 2000 rpm...I was hopin to just drive her home and then there was a bit of smoke so I pulled off to the side of the road n decided to get her towed. All the gauges were fine...but that red "checkbgauges" light that comes on when u stall was on at like 2000 rpm...any help guys? i have a 1994 z28 manual transmission

 

The check gauges light comes on when one of the gauges goes into the red. When it started to run badly, what was the oil pressure gauge reading and what was the coolant temp gauge reading?

 

coolant temp was right at the half way point and the oil pressure gauge was normal as well...it would go up as i accelerated...

 

What about voltage?

 

hello there i was reading ur issue that ur having a last month i had the same problem i was driving i saw smoke coming, but mine was coming from the inside,and my car turned off then i got it towed. Turns out it was just my fuel pump relay. good luck

 

it was a clogged cat. quick easy fix....thank god!
