I don't know how your going to do the lifters, cam, valves, springs, seals, retainers, locks, rocker arms for under $600... that's why I said the Hotcam... I meant the kit, is around $510 at Summit.

Does anyone read my first post before they make a suggestion

I have all the valvetrain hardware all ready on the car. I would just need a Cloyes Double Roller Timing Chain, some choice of a cam and lifters since I would be going in the engine. I might as well replace them at the same time.

I have the Crane 10308-1 Spring Retainer Kit, Comp Cam Hardened Push Rods, Summit Guide Plates, Summit 1.6 RR's, ARP Head bolts and Screw-in Studs, along with the Felpro Performance Head Gaskets. All this was done in October along with a refresh set of heads with a 3 angle valve job. And no there is no port work to these heads.

I think I am leaning towards throwing a XE cam in it since I have the hardware and LT1 Edit to back it up. Thinking about either a 224/230 or a 230/236 on a 112 LSA.

Exclamation

Sounds like you already know WTF you want.

Why ask? All you've said to everyone's suggestions are "no" and "why would I do that" or "I already have this, so I'm not doing that".

You obviously know what you want, since you don't want any of their suggestions.

Well lets see here... I was offered some drag tires and in my sig I have E.T. Streets now. I was told to get Longtube Headers when I already have Hooker Shorties. So Why would I take them off only to buy another set? I was told to put it in an envelope and send it to someone? Uh.. yeah... Should I keep going? So that is why I was saying "no".

And to the hot-cam, why would I want something that is barley over stock? And for repairs... Please thats not what I was asking for.

So where do you get off coming in here and talking crap to me when it is easy to see I have asked a question and have got so far the fruitest ideas not to mention no one takes the time and reads the intital post!

You know this board is getting lamer by the minute. I can give you a hand full of names that actaully are helpful. The others have their heads in their rear and the rest just like to think they know it all.

save it, and put the bigger cam you want in, also they don't make a double roller timing chain for our car. Remember I had that problem. I had to go with the LT4 heavy duty timing chain.

There you are, a good reply, on things you don't have.

I want to know why you even asked when it's obvious all you want is an XE cam?

It's like this:

"Hey guys, I want some ice cream.. What kind should I get? I could go with Chocolate Chip... My options are open. What are your suggestions?"

"Sweet! Make sure you get me some.. I like ice cream."

"Yeah, thanks for nothing."

"How about Cookies and Cream?"

"No. I already have chocolate chip cookie dough, why would I want cookies and cream? I really want Chocolate Chip."

"What about vanilla? I've got some vanilla in my fridge you could buy."

"No.. My wife already has vanilla. I'm sick of it."

"You can't go wrong with rocky road"

"Does anyone read my first post? I already have all that anyway.. I just need chocolate chip."

Well if you want chocolate chip then get it. Obviously you want an XE cam, so why are you asking for suggestions?

dont mind nate, hes lost
hes looking for the trecel forums

I suggest nitrous. seems like you have enough for the street/ fun
nitrous will get your great gains, but cost a grand...

combos cam kit its perdy damn cool and cheap

if u have all the hardware and such-
there is always tuning, gears (did you have them) long tubes (world of differance over shorties), and as mentioned-
stuff will break.

its a "when" not "if"

I'd just buy the nitrous. The NX direct port LT1 nitrous system is pretty nice...you'd have to save a few hundred more for the model with the bottle but... 600 bucks on the LT1 is such a small number for high horsepower. You seem like you have a ton of stuff already, maybe a 4.10? Good luck.

LOL!

Sorry, I didn't read the entire list... go with an XE cam and a GM "Extreme Duty" timing chain, a set of Comp lifters and your $600 is gone.
