hey i was wondering if anyone has any sugjestions... i have a 93 a4 and all of a sudden sometimes it will idle fine but then sometimes it idles at like 600rpm in park/neutral and between 4-500rpm in drive, i changed the fuel filter and the o2 sensors since they were old anyway and still no change, the only thing is that the fuel pump is a little noisey, but it has been since i got the car, has anyone had similar problems? anyone think they know wut i should check next? any help is appreciated

 

The IAC controls your idle. Try cleaning the throttle body.

 

will try that tomorro thanks... i also put a fuel pressure tester on it and it was reading 40 at first and then 30 when it is running... is this normal?

 

Your fuel pressure sounds low So possibly your regulator is going or your pump is going. Stock fuel pressure at idle should be around 42PSI Correct me if I am wrong but that is what I remember. But that is just my .02 Good luck

try tapping on the IAC while the car is acting up. if the idle changes when you tap it you need an iac.
