You need a complete LT1 engine, a PCM from a corresponding year, and a compatible wiring harness. If you start with a 93 engine/ECM the 700R4 will work fine. If you start with a 94 or newer LT1/PCM you will have some codes in the PCM for the missing electronic tranny (4L60E) interfaces. Those will need to be programmed out of the PCM or you will be looking at a constant SES light. The VATS system will need to be removed from the PCM, or you will have to incorporate a VATS system/module, with an ignition lock cylinder that can read the resistor in a VATS equipped ignition key.

Your fuel system will need to be capable of supplying 190LPH at 43.5psi, using a "return" style system. You will need to interface the LT1 PCM tach output signal to your stock tach.

Your exhaust system will need to accept the O2 sensor for each individual bank of the engine. If the engine/PCM are out of an OBD-II F-Body (96/97) you will need to run O2 sims in the after-cat positions, or have the after-cat O2 sensors programmed out of the PCM.

Probably a lot more issues, but that might get you started, and get some additional responses generated.

The physical issues... motor mounts, exhaust manifolds, etc will probably best be addressed in the 3rd Gen Engine Tech forum.

I've done the swap. Check my sig for what I did. I also used

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/ltx-lsx/

and

http://www.shbox.com

as references. The first thing I would do is try to find one. My OBDI 94 system was fairly straight forward. There are lots of people who can show you what they did. Good luck!
