Help identify mystery box...
I have no clue what this box is...
Mounted onto the panel just above the ALDL connector is another 6 pin connector with a cable routed underneath the knee bolster panel. I removed the panel and the cable leads to a small black box with no identifying marks. It has a small circuit board inside with the output for the connector cable and 3 inputs labelled "starter", "power", and "ground". The power and starter have been spliced into a light green or yellow heavier gauge wire that is obviously part of the chassis wiring harness. Does anyone with some electrical experience have a clue as to what this is? And is there any harm in removing it? I'm no electronics guru as you can see...
