Help Hot Start Problem
When I drive my var for more than fifteen minutes (enough time for it to warm up) then I shut it off and try to start it, it cranks real slow as if the battery had been drained. But if i let the car sit for an hour or so it will fire right up. Also some times when im turning the engine over when its hot the ground from the coil gets extreamly hot. The nshop has put 3 starters in it they all do the same thing. also has a new battery and ground from the battery. please help im at a loss
Your starter motor is soaking up heat from your exhaust manifolds.
Usually happens on cars with headers.
You can try insulating your starter motor.
Other than that its probably on its way out.

i dont have headers and i havent changed anything lately is there anything elese it could be. if not what would i insulate the starter with. Also when it is hot and cranking slow if i jump it with another car it fires right up. the starter is only a few days old
I would clean and tighten all engine grounds and battery cables to begin with, so as to eliminate that as a potential problem. I don't mean just look at them. I mean remove, clean and reinstall.
