Help with a fan switch on 96

I need help wiring up a manual fan switch for my 96 t/a. WHat i did was put a jumper wire between the blue wire and the green wire over on the passenger side fender. I then connected the jumper wire to a power source. Shouldnt this turn on the fans? It worked on my friends 95. What am i doing wrong.

I did a search and still cant figure it out.

Help me if you can.

Does anyone know if the '96 fan wiring differs from the '95?

I figured it out... you have to ground those wires, not put power to them.
