flashing converter

Will someone explain what is meant by flashing the converter? I have a 3500 vig. that stalls upto 2000 rpm with soft compound tires on the rear - and then the tires starts to rotate. Is this normal? Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Basically, Flashing the converter, is the same as leaving off idle. When you do that, leave off idle, you make the converter "flash" to the stall speed it is gonna stall at, which makes it hit the tires harder, usually resulting in a better 60 foot time. Or you can "stall" the converter up to say 1500 rpm, and leave like that, only thing to do is try it both ways, see what works best. HTH.
