Re: help with code

Generally, its best to throw in the actual code number... not all lists have the same description. I'm guessing you got P0433 = Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) purge solenoid control circuit. That would indicate either the EEC purge solenoid or the wiring to it is defective.

His code list is also good to use, because it is LT1 specific.

Re: help with code

That ones a B!@CH. Could be vacuum hoses to the purge solenoid routed wrong. Could be the vac lines going to the purge canister kinked or screwed up. Could be a switch, wiring, solenoid, the canister or the PCM itself.

You need a good manual, a scanner that can exercise circuits and a lot of patience.

Re: help with code

According to my manual, the possible causes are:

Rubber hoses cracked, cut, pierced, bent, or disconnected, as mentioned above
Plastic connector to EVAP canister purge solenoid cracked
Plugged hose from solenoid to canister or to throttle body
Terminals backed out, connectors or wiring damaged
EVAP canister purge solenoid fault or PCM defective

Slopokrodrigez covered it pretty good. Good luck.
