i agree
it is a 1994. so there is a pin that is keyed on each side. the pin, or drive mechanism, is not part of either the cam or the opti. it fits into both. It is kind of tricky to get it to line up but it can only go one way.
On the 94 f body, it uses a double sided male splined shaft, if you look closely you can see it has a master spline on both sides of it. the opti should slide on to it smoothly, dont force it, if it wont touch the timing cover chances are its off a tooth or so. i have found it easier to work with if you remove the opti distributor cap.
