Help! Car won't start!
Help! Car won't start!
So I was going to go on my way to the store to pick up a couple of things and when I got in it, turned the key, it's dead. So I said oh great not again, because this has happened 3-4 times in the past 7 months. So I try jump starting it, still won't turn over, no click AT ALL, completely dead. Is it my starter? All the terminals on the battery seem to be nice and tight, and I don't think it has anything to do with the alternator. The search feature isn't working for me right now. It may just be a completely dead battery because the accesories turned on ONCE when I was trying to jump it and it died. I HOPE it's not the starter, probably just another dead battery? Does anyone have recommendations on a new battery? I'm gonna leave it jumped for a good 5-10 minutes to see if I get any juice.

Re: Help! Car won't start!
Most likely the battery or cables (a bad connection will also behave the same). I have the Optima Red Top in mine. It has lots of cranking power and nothing to leak. Delco, Sears Die Hard, Interstate, etc. They all have good batteries, but you need to get the top of the line even in those brands. Usually the good ones are supposed to last up to 7 years.
When the warranty on a bat is past, or even close to past due, expect it to go bad.
If you are in doubt, get a new battery. JMHO

Damn, I'm 100% sure it's the battery. The car won't even put the accesories on, gotta be it. I'll see about maybe even just getting a cheap battery for now because I just spent all the money on new wires etc. after they burned off from my headers.
