Help with Cam++ selections

OK yeah yeah i know do a search but i have and have found useful information but i wanted to get some more ideas and see what people have tried and done.

OK I'm about to take my car into a local shop and have some work done along with hopefully getting it painted.

I already have the basic bolt ons, cai,borla, lt4 km, mac mid headers, various other bolt ons.

My question is I plan on doing a cam along with rockers and etc kinda like the kit from the GP from comp cams with everything included, the thing is i have heard on a 94 camaro z28 A4 you can't use a lt4 timing chain and i might have to use a reg new lt1 timing chain? is this true cause i already replaced my opti with a non vented and all and don't wanna go threw converting it over

My other question is since I'm doing alot of mods/paint at once i can't afford heads right now really since im paying to have this stuff installed since im no mechanic and i have nowhere to do this. usally i change my oil on the street corner lol)

So what cam is gonna be good for this application with the thought of just wanting a streetable almost normal driving car with the though of getting like stage 1 heads or 2 later on,

I'm also doing a stall like 2400-2800 not sure yet. Any ideas?

Basically i want the car to idle semi smooth, not have cam surge, drive mainly normal with a wide power band and still be able to drive it everyday without anymore worry then normal.

Some of the cams i was looking at was a cc304 cc305 224, 227, hotcam etc... any suggestions just shoot away and then i can place a order and get this car back on the road hehe. I plan on getting a full dyno tune also. well thanks in advance and sry for the long post

eah gonna do that also but i think its better to hear from people that have gone threw the same thing and have the same cars etc then asking someone trying to sell you something..
I thought about a 227 on a 114lsa with a 2400 stall maybe I'm not sure what would be daily driver almost compatable and reliable
