Thumbs down HELP! ASAP water pump plug!

Well i noticed it before i turned the car on but didnt realize what it was... there were 2 prongs sticking out of my water pump, then later did i see a plug and wire dangling over the crank pulley... well i guess whatever i did pulled the socket right off... so now its got two prongs, the wire is still plugged in to the thing w/ the clip but that fell off ...

(this wire branches off to the same wire in the intake duct.)

i dont wanna plug it in backwards, so would anyone know which way is the right way?

Definetly not, your pcm uses this readout to adjust a number of things.

dark wire goes to the right of the clip. so the clip is on the bottom and the dark wire is on the right.

Although it shouldnt matter.

or does the whole water heater need to be replaced?

Dont pull that 5/8" "nut"off, or you will have water everywhere!

That is part of the sensor that threads into the water pump.

YOu will probably have to unplug the sensor, take apart the plug and go from there
