Where is it ? so I can replace it. I did a search and checked the shoebox's site and nothing...I'm reading -34* on autotap..can this cause any probs

 

I didn't know there was an oil temp sender??

 

i don't know of an oil temp sensor, i do know about an oil pressure sensor though. It might differ from an LS1, but the LS1 has it behind the intake manifold and it looks like a small black tube. You gotta remove the IM to see it. Like I said... LT1 might be on a different location though. Hope that's what you were looking for.

 

thanks for the replies guys..and yeah I thinking like you I know of the low level sensor in the pan and the press sensor on the back of intake but oil temp sensor I have never heard of it.. but the autotap has it listed in my supported parameters and its reading -34 deg . under info it says its used to control cooling fans but thats what the coolant sensor does

 

There isn't one on F-Bodies even though the PCM has provisions for it.

The Vette has it, though.
