Heistation/stumble solved
Heistation/stumble solved
i've had hesitation for about 6 months now. I've changed the plugs, wires, coil, icm, mass air meter, iac...basically everything except for the optispark. It hesiatated in the whole rpm range bad and would do it worse when it got hot. I recently needed to put in a new clutch so i bought a Ram Stage 3 clutch and had the guy put it in today. I told him i was leaking a bit of oil and thought it was the rear main seal so i told him to take a look at it while he was down there. I went to go pick up my car just now and i asked him if it was the rear main seal that was leaking. He told me when he had the tranny and clutch out he could see that the oil was leaking from the back of my intake and onto my wires, therefore oil soaking my wires. He said that was causing my hesitation. He also told me it was kinda of a big project and something that he doesnt really want to get into....my question is how much is it to have someone repair the oil leak and pull the intake? Am i looking at an Arm and a leg?
its really not that difficult and if you do it yourself should cost you no more than $30... Afternoon job at most. Do some searches
Edit:One thing that I do have to say is that unless the front is leaking which is abnormal (or less likely I should say) there is slim to no chance of getting oil on the wires or any ignition related system. I would be more worried about toasting that new clutch you just put on
