Heater problem, need some advice

I got the Z out of storage today and took her for a spin. I had the heat on, but noticed it wasn't really that hot even though I had it cranked up all the way. It was just kind of warm. I also noticed that the temp gauge never went over the first bar above 100 degrees. What would cause the heater to not get as warm as it should? I'm suprised the car (coolant temp) stayed so cool today becuase in the summer it seems to almost overheat if I don't turn on the A/C. Anyone have any ideas?

It might, but why would that cause the car to get so hot in the summer? Actually that seems like a good idea, but that means I have to remove my CAI. PITA!!
