heater core

got a 96 looks like maybe the heater core might be leaking right at the fire wall car got hot anyone change them out do you get it out from the inside looks like it might be a job?....do the fans run when you kill the car thought about just making them come on when the motor is running hook them up derect?

Its not really too hard..just did it this morning. ~5 little bolts holding the heater box together.. I took off my glove box (3 bolts) and pulled the panel out. Then took off the hoses from the outside (1 more bolt under the hood) and it pulls right thru from the inside. Angle is down and pull it out. I did it in ~30mins (wasnt timing or anything..just figure an hours time) New one was ~50 bux at autozone.
