heat soak

I have ram air with a fernco "smooth tube" from the TB to the MAF sensor and the bottom of the fernco tube sits touching the thermostat houseing which...is hot. Just wondering if there is any cheap insulation from home depot or anything I can put in between the two. I mean the tube and maf sensor already get hot enough just being under the hood...was thinking about covering it all from TB to ram air box with an aluminum dryer hose, btw I already have the TB coolant bypassed....

A small piece of foil covered insulation would probably be enough.

The Fernco tube is so thick that it is probably an excellent insulator. I've never noticed a problem with mine.
