The gear is worn on one side. Do a search for "headlight fix".

Your little gear in there the flips the light up souds like its stripped. Do a seach on the net...youll find cheap fixes for it. One thing i remember reading was to take the motor/headlight apart and find the little gear that moves the light. Then flip it 180degrees and reinstall it. Apparently this works becasue the motor only uses half the gear to turn the light up and down...so the one side of the gear is never used. Could also, just replace the gear if you wanted. Otherwise, youll have to spend about $250 on a new headlight motor. Good luck.

I had the same problem. It was the gear inside the motor. I bought a pair of brass gears and put one in each motor and havent had any problems since.
