Arrow Gear Install Price Quotes??? How much? NEED HELP

I have heard that a gear install is around $150 then My friend told me $250 for a complete install. Then I went to a guy and he said it might be $350 - $400 for the install.

That would be with my supplying every gasket and seal, gears, posi and one axle. My ring gear is allready bolted up to the posi and was run then taken out and my gears were installed briefly. THey were taken from a 2000 T/A and I will be putting them back into my 95 Z28 convert. I figured they would almost bolt in*......

I think the guy is trying to play me like a dope.

I am interested to hear what you guys have paid for your installs and if anyone lives near BOSTON let me know a good place!

Thanks guys!

Most gear installs will go anywhere between 150-300.00. In all honesty I would not make a decision based on who is the cheapest. I would base my decison on the reputation of the shop.

SRA Transmission in RI....I think there's a post going around the New England forum about this place. That's where Dean at New England Dyno told me to go. I haven't gone there, but any place he recommends is A-OK by me!

I just had mine done for 440.00. The only thing I brought was the ring and pinion. The price included labor 275.00 and the rest parts I had to buy a spacer cuz I had series 3 ring andhad a series 2 carrier. But this guy that did mine does ALL the rearend for all the shops in the local area, and for all the pro drag racers so spending the money and getting it done right the first time was worth it.
