What kind of heads should get? What kind of flow numbers should I look for? I have a pair of stock heads in my garage that I can have ported but I don't know what to look for.

 

Have them ported and polished and having larger (2.00/1.57) valves installed wouldn't hurt either. There are a ton of shops that can do this, and in many cases, a local engine builder is very capable. In my case, it was me. As for flow numbers, they will vary from flow bench to flow bench, but a 15-20% increase over stock should be very feasible.
