Heads and cam....

I am wanting to do a few things to my f-body. I am looking to do heads and cam this winter. I found a pair of LT! heads, ported. Will this work with an LT4 hotcam or comp cam? I have original heads at the moment, but they need to be ported before this application can be done. Heads are like 250.00 on ebay so sould't cost too much. I am trying to keep it around 900.00 for everything. Any suggestions?

heads and cam will cost way more than 900 bucks. Just for the hot cam kit its about 500 then gaskets and supplies(timing chain) probably another 200 bucks. You won't be able to have anything really done to your heads for 200 bucks. I would say good ported heads will be at least 1000 bucks.

I know there are heads out there that cost over a grand. What if I had ported LTI stock heads, or Ported LT4 heads? Would they work with the application?

For the ported LT4 heads to work you'll need a LT4 intake manifold. Plan on spending at least two grand for a complete head and cam package.
