Headlight Adjustment, how high off the ground from how far away?
This is from my Haynes manual:
Park car 25 feet away from wall on level surface, half tank of gas and no loads in the back end.
Put tape on wall vertically. Line it up with the center line of the car. Use two more vertical pieces of tape and line them up with the headlights.
Put tape horizontal on wall at same distance from the ground as the headlights. Maybe easier to do with the car a few inches away from wall.
Low Beam: Brightest part of light beam 2 inches below horizontal tape line and 2 inches to the right of the headlights vertical line.
High Beam: Brightest part of light beam zone should be vertically centered with the exact center just below the horizontal line..
This is will just get you close. For the best results you should fine a dark back road to get the adjustment down right. Make sure you don't get them too high or you will be hazard to on coming cars. Personally, I like my high beams a little on the high side and spread out. Most the roads around here are curvy and have many hills.
