Headers etc...

I have decided to go ahead and invest in a set of headers. Now to choose which one, I have decided to choose between the Hooker LT's, the Arizona Speed and Marine's, and the Mac Shorties. I hear all these people naming their headers "Jet Hots," I thought Jet Hot was just a company that would coat and/or purchase headers from another manufacturer for them to be coated? Does Jet Hot really have a brand? Back to the actual dilemma, I need you guys input on the 3 types I have to choose from. I have heard very good things about the Hooker LT's through searching, not too much about the Mac or Arizona Speed and Marine's, I guess not as many people use them. I want to be able to use all stock emission equipment, and I have the SLP LM exhaust, so I want it to sound decent as well, and hp/torque is also a big factor... What header should I go with, clearance is not an issue as my car is not lowered and roads here are pretty good.

Just a couple more things I have sat here and thought about, does anyone know of any company that specifically makes a kit for the over the valve cover spark plug wires and stuff, like all the little brackets and stuff? Also, I need traction, the track I go to is horrible enough, they are too stingy with the VHT, plus I have a M6 with stock clutch. There's not so much that I can do. What could I do to get better traction, my 60 fts are like 2.26, with my Kuhmo Ecsta Supra's, any ideas? Yet another thing, my SLP LM rubs the cross tunnel brace b/c it hangs lower than stock, with the LT's (if I decide on those) its gonna be even lower, I'm sure its not recommended to remove that brace, so will this work http://www.customracer.com/camaro_su..._handling.html ? Go a little bit more than half down that page where it starts talking about the drive shaft safety loop, I assume the prices below it are for the loop and the tunnel brace as a package for $98, will that work for what I need?

Yes, Jet hot does coatings and they do make a brand. They are identical to Hookers, except, cheaper, thicker flange, larger AWG tubing, and come with O2 bungs standard. All which make them superior to Hookers. You can get them coated and shipped for aroung $525. They are based on the same design as the hookers.

You can also get a hooker Y pipe coated from there for $250 shipped.

As for the OTVC wires. Thunder racing puts together a kit for $100 that works real nice with headders. That's what I have.

And that tunnel brace should work. Althought the Y pipe comes with spacers to move your brace down so that your stocker will work. I still had to modify mine though. Hope this helps.

EDIT: BMR has a much better looking tunnel brace and safety loop

www.jet-hot.com

They are a pain to install. I have the MACs and the install was fairly easy. Check out this thread:
