Headers for Daily Driver
dude, install them yourself, don't pay somebody. there isn't a better feeling than when you get done, and you know you did it, because if there is something wrong you then have a better idea where its at and how to fix it. Headers and exhaust aren't too bad either. Also, then you know your car that much better.
Just my $0.02

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I'm not completely mechanically illiterate. I've done the posi swap and replaced a fuel pump on a fourth gen. Will there be any welding or cutting with the stock exhaust catback? I have an cutting wheel but no welder. I guess I could just take it to a muffler shop afterwards.
If you can swap a fuel pump and a posi unit a set of headers is going to be CAKE! Only frustrating part is going the old rusted junk out. We had to use a 1/2" impact pushing 600ft. lbs to get mine off this weekend.
Same here, I sprayed down every bolt on the car for a week with PB Blaster before touching anything with a ratchet. I read too many horror stories of people snapping exhaust manifold bolts in the head.
Those gave me problems too... nothing the added leverage of a breaker bar couldn't take care of though.
yea im installing pacesetter LT's on my DD this winter.....im gonna soak the crap out of the bolts for a few days before i take the manifolds off....
