Headers or computer tuning?

Ive got money to do either computer tuning by purchasing alaptop and playing eith tunercat, OR getting headers. Both will be done eventually, i only have enough money to do one right now. Which will do better things for me in the long run..and right now. thanks

Its all about your preference...

I already had a laptop, so I went and got tunercat... I still don't have headers... And I'm actually considering getting a 12 bolt before headers...

Do you want to just make power? Or do you want to use that power?

And even then, with just simple bolt-ons, Tunercat isn't really gonna help that much

I sold my HPP+ (used for speedo re-cal with my 4.10's) and that paid for tunercat... I turned around did the same with Tunercat (and more!) that the HPP+ was doing for me...

In the long run, both are 'needed' hehe, its up to you which route you go first...

Tunercat is not an easy program to use... I mean, its got lots of things you can do, but unless you really understand them, there isn't alot your going to use it for. And at this point, there is even less you are going to use it for!

If you have NO need for it, as in speedo reclibration or something similar I would get headers... But if there is anything you CAN use it for, I'd go for it before headers... but thats just me

Speaking in terms of performance--you will probably benefit most from the headers. However, having a laptop just to monitor and pull codes is a very valuable tool to have.

Do headers now and later down the road when you do some more serious mods and need programming do it then.

Problem solved.
