I would use the AS&M's over the mac's. Jet hot or Hooker's would be my first choice though.

Try to find a header with 1 3/4" primaries. This includes SLP, AS&M, BBK and pretty much all the LTs.

I got MAC mids and am very happy with them. Easy install and were a good price with a y pipe.

well like i said i've wanted the AS&M... and since i posted that auction i got a chance to get the AS&M.. but it all remains the same... they are both 93-95 headers... how hard is it toconvert that to my 97 with loudmouth... (and i know abotu the sound issues, im converting to a borlamouth)

contact jet-hot for some coated mac mids. if you want long tubes and have the $$$, check out TPiS, FLP or the stepped Kooks headers. jet-hot also made their own LT's, which are a good choice as well.

I think that if you have a 96-97 catback you will have to get a custom S-pipe bent by an exhaust shop to connect to the 93-95 style Y-pipe. You will also have to get your rear O2 sensors programmed out, unless some provision is made for those, but I'm not sure how you would do that.

AS&M are a great header. Dont settle for anything less than what you want or else you get them on and always wonder what could have been with the larger primaries.
